The Department of Mathematics Education, affiliated with the Institute of Educational Sciences at Fırat University, provides postgraduate education in Mathematics Education. The aim of this program is to train experts who have the knowledge, skills, attitudes and experience to conduct education, training and high-level research in the field of Mathematics Education, who can think critically, have high self-confidence and have the competence to follow innovations in their field on a national and international scale, who produce solutions to education and training problems in their field by effectively using quantitative and qualitative scientific research methods, and who design, develop and implement programs. In order to successfully complete this program and receive a master's degree, it is necessary to successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses (120 ECTS in total) that must be taken from the program, to pass the thesis exam and to have a general grade point average of at least 3.00 out of 4.00. Students who graduate from the program by meeting the necessary conditions receive a master's degree in Mathematics Education and the title of scientific expert.
